OUR FIRM

Birdhouse Architecture was founded in 2019 in Austin, TX, with the goal of doing high quality, thoughtful architecture and interior design work, while establishing a workplace environment that reflects modern workplace values. In 2020 we opened an office in Savannah, GA, and we are currently expanding our firm in both cities.

In the work we do for our clients, and the way we run our firm, we take every opportunity to rethink the way things have been done before and find the best way to do them now.

AJ CLINKENBEARD

AJ’s passion for interior design began with the computer game The Sims, where she focused less on gameplay and more on the design & architecture of in-game homes. She would recreate real listings from Zillow, build shell models and furnish them with her own creative vision for imagined clients. This early curiosity evolved into a clear career path, leading her to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she earned her B.F.A. in Interior Design with honors. AJ is dedicated to creating inclusive, functional spaces that serve all users with quality, purpose, and efficiency. Outside of design, she stays busy by exploring thrift & antique stores, trying new coffee shops, and collecting vinyl's for her record player.
