Civic

Civic architecture & planning are the threads that weave us together. Public spaces and buildings are opportunities for us to express our shared values, our aspirations, and our dreams. The greater our dreams, the more confident our convictions, the grander the fabric of our community will be.

We were fortunate to be invited by Sottile & Sottile to work with them on a project which exemplifies these sentiments, the renovation of the parish hall at The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, in Savannah, Georgia. Now known as Regina Coeli Hall, the vision for the project was to transform a simple parish hall into a space of stunning beauty, adapting the design of the French-Gothic cathedral above to make the hall appear as if it was built contemporaneously, over 120 years ago, while designing and constructing it with methods both new and old so it will last 120 more.
